STEP 1 - PREP SKIN

“No amount of make-up can mask a ugly heart.”  – Kevyn Aucion

Always start with prepped skin. A moisturized canvas will always ensure an even result.

Firstly starting with a light foundation then blending the foundation over the entire face.

Tip- I love M.A.C’S Face and Body as a super light base.

STEP 2 - HIGHLIGHT

Then we are going to highlight all the areas on the face that we want to stand out and be the highest points of the face. I start placing the product under the eye, then moving to the forehead, then the bridge of the nose and finally the chin. Using a foundation that is 1-2 shades lighter then the natural skin tone.

STEP 3 - BLEND

When blending be sure to stay inside the guidelines of the contour the last thing we want to do it make the entire face 2 shades lighter then the desired shade.

Note: Even though we are using a lot of foundation we wont have a cakey finish because of the way we blend this product out. I personally always use the Rae Morris radiance brush when blending this ensures we create a smooth finish.

TIP: Remember everything we highlight will visually come forward and sit higher on the face then everything else.

Now for the contour I always start with the nose. I generally use a cream foundation to contour with. Here I have used M.A.C’S NC42 in full coverage. Working two lines down the exterior of the nose, once even I blend away with a foundation blending brush.

STEP 4 - CONTOUR CHEEKS

To create the contour on the cheeks and to make the cheeks much more pronounced. I once again use a crème foundation. Like we used on the nose.

Place the product on the shallowest part of the cheekbone, then also on the shallowest part of the temple. Once even on both sides of the face, blend away with a contour brush.

TIP: If your wanting to have a sun kissed finish, mix a matte bronzer with a pink blush lightly apply that on the highest point of the cheek, I also like to go around the hairline with a matte bronzer. This will make you look like you have been in the sun for that perfect amount of time.

STEP 5 - HIGHLIGHT

Now for one of the final steps. The Highlight! I Very lightly swipe a highlighter powder on the highest points of the face. Just under the temple on the cheekbone, the bridge of the nose the middle of the forehead and as a final touch the bow of the lip.

TIP: If your working with aged skin, be weary of applying this to areas that have wrinkles, as this will only make them more noticeable.

STEP 6 - MARRY ALL STEPS

The final step is to make all of the steps marry. So I take a clean radiance brush and blend the steps together.

Final result.
